Why Timing Matters More Than You Think
Every Communion dress we create at Giga Fashion is handmade by us — designed, cut, sewn, and finished with care, and tailored to your child’s exact measurements. This isn’t fast fashion. It’s craftsmanship.
Because of that, timing is everything. Creating a custom Communion dress is not a fast process, but it is a smooth and stress-free one, especially when started early.
Many parents wait too long, only to discover that ordering late limits their options and adds stress during an already emotional time. We want to help you avoid that. One of the most common questions we get is when to order a custom Communion dress — and the answer is always the same: the earlier, the better.
The Truth: Custom-Made Takes Time
Every dress we sell is made-to-order. Nothing is pulled from a rack. From choosing the fabric and finalizing the design to stitching, fitting, and adjusting, your daughter’s dress is built from scratch — for her and only her.
This takes time. And it should. Because something this meaningful deserves it.
✅ When to Order a Custom Communion Dress: Our Recommended Timeline
To make the experience smooth and enjoyable, we recommend this timeline:
🔹 August–September (The Year Before the Communion)
This is the best time to visit us. You can:
View our sample dresses
Explore fabric and design options
Place your custom order early
Once you do that, happy days! You can forget about it, and we’ll take care of everything. You’ll have peace of mind knowing it’s all in good hands.
🔹 Early Spring (The Communion Year)
The first fitting takes place early in the Communion year.Your daughter will try on the dress we’ve made to her original measurements. At this stage, you can:
Request changes to the design or fit
Adjust for growth spurts
Add final touches or embellishments
You still have full flexibility — nothing is rushed.
🔹 A Few Weeks Before Communion
This is the collection day. You’ll receive your dress in perfect condition and perfectly fitted — just in time for the big day.
And even after collection, we’re still here for you.If anything small needs fixing — like a loose thread or a light adjustment — there’s still time. No panic, no stress. Just calm support when you need it most.
💳 Flexible Payments — and Full Support
Ordering early also gives you more time to pay — and flexibility in how you do it.
Here’s how our payment process works:
We only require a deposit to begin your order
The balance can be paid at your own pace, in any amount, over the course of production
We can send a secure payment link anytime, whenever it suits you
This means you can manage your Communion dress purchase in a way that fits your budget, without pressure.
